Paul (Little) Beiler serves as the Senior Pastor of Foothills Community Chapel, bringing over 20 years of dedicated service to the Carolina Foothills community.
Alongside his pastoral role, Paul also serves as a County Commissioner, furthering his commitment to the well-being and progress of his community.
Paul and his wife, Jenn, are parents of three sons: Jackson (married to Amberlyn), Mason, and William. Their family values extend beyond their home, as they actively engage in the lives of those around them. This commitment to personal connection reflects the Beilers' genuine love for their community.

Care Pastor

Merle & Evangeline Stoltzfus have been married since 2008 and have called Polk County, NC their home for nearly two decades. Their family, which includes three children - Caroline, Hudson and Eden - finds joy in one of their favorite activities, camping, whether as a family or with friends.
Merle’s passion lies in cultivating a sense of community among God’s people. He believes that as we learn to navigate life together, fostering connected and improved relationships, we contribute significantly to the growth of the Kingdom of God.
Beyond his role as Associate Pastor, Merle is employed at Carolina Storage Solutions, a business his family started in 2008. His entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond this venture as he actively engages in starting and growing various businesses. Among his pursuits is flying, a hobby he passionately embraces. Holding a private pilot's license since 2015, he relishes the scenic views and efficiency flying provides, allowing him to reach destinations a little quicker!
The family’s commitment to community and shared experiences shines through, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Eugene Miller

Worship Pastor

Born in Holmes County, Ohio, Eugene Miller has made Polk County, NC his home since 1999 and serves as the Worship Pastor at Foothills Community Chapel.
Eugene is passionate about cultivating a culture of excellence in worship and production within our church. He extends this passion to help other churches across the US achieve the same in his role as a traveling worship and sound consultant.
Authentic and genuine relationships fuel his enthusiasm. He believes that conflict, when approached constructively, becomes an opportunity for resolution rather than avoidance.
Eugene spent 25+ years on the road with his family under Gospel Express Ministries, engaging in drama, music, and sound production.
In his leisure time, you'll find him engaging in hobbies such as riding his motorcycle, traveling, playing Pickleball, Volleyball, and Disc Golf.

Eric and JJ Waddell are natives of Polk County, NC and share a love story that began in their teenage years at Polk Central High School. Their journey continued through college at App State, leading to their marriage in 2007. After a brief period away, they returned to Polk County, dedicating their time to giving back to the community that holds a special place in their hearts.
Eric, a cybersecurity consultant, and JJ, an elementary school teacher, are not just professionals in their fields but are deeply passionate about family, children, and community.
The Waddell family, with four children of their own, has also opened their hearts and home to numerous foster children. Their involvement in children's ministry and local missions spans over more than 25 years. Eric and JJ are committed to building a Christ-centered, biblical foundation in the hearts and minds of young people. While their own children are now adults, their passion to pass on their experiences and teach solid biblical values remains strong, guiding young hearts to be warriors for Christ.
Eric and JJ's love for their community shines through, and they look forward to continuing their service at FCC and wherever God may lead them next.

Nelson Painter

Nelson and Greta have been married for 11 years and live in Tryon with their three children: Barrett, Evelyn, and Josiah.
A builder at heart, Nelson works as a Commercial General Contractor outside of church. His passion for building carries over into ministry, whether it’s constructing physical spaces or helping people build stronger relationships with God and each other.
Nelson and Greta are also the founders and directors of Revivalist Ministries, a growing movement with over 50 volunteers, four annual conferences, 11 small groups, and ongoing efforts in worship training and mission work.
Their heart for Foothills is simple yet powerful: to see people embraced, evangelized, equipped, and empowered. Nelson’s focus is especially on equipping and empowering others to step into their calling and impact the community around them.

Dave Miller

Overseer

Dave Miller serves as an Overseer at Foothills Community Chapel. In addition to his role at our church, Dave serves as the Executive Director of Gospel Express Ministries, a commitment he and his family have held since 1999.
Dave and his wife Ruth Ann have 5 children: Derek, Deborah (married to Corbin Borkholder) Eugene (married to Rose), Kyle (married to Alyssa), and Grace (married to Jordan Troyer), and three grandchildren - Porter, Beckham, and Isabella Borkholder.
Dave and his family spend approximately 5 months of the year traveling in a bus, engaging in singing and preaching in churches, communities, and prisons, both stateside and internationally. This outreach, made possible through Gospel Express Ministries, reflects Dave's passion for family, evangelism, and the restoration of revival within the Church.
